As Peter, the "Bad Seed" in the band of bank robbers, actor Brad Goodman becomes the post-high school bully that just can't get along with anyone. Goodman graduated with a BA in Theater Arts from the University of Oregon where he received the prestigious national Irene Ryan Award for best male performance. Goodman continues to perform both on stage and on camera (recently starring in the feature GOOD TEETH), as well as teach film acting in the Portland area on a regular basis.

As Dean, the pot-hazened "Comic Relief" of the film, actor Greg James does an excellent job of conveying the goofball with the philosophical heart. James graduated from the University of Oregon with a BA in Theater Arts and has continued to broaden his acting and directing talents in numerous theatrical and film productions, including Spiral City's feature THE SEXY CHEF. James has recently finished writing, directing, and producing the 16mm short THE LIFE OF DEATH, the music video HUNG LIKE THE LORD, and is currently developing TIDE-POOL, a feature he'll be directing in the future. He is also set to appear as Harper & Collin "The Bookend Boys" Smythe in THE PRODIGAL SUM, currently in pre-production.

As Josh, the "Voice of Reason" in our band of weary road-trippers, actor Mike Prosser conveys the will of a man trying to keep his splintered group from becoming completely divided. Mike has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southern Oregon State College where he directed the short films HOUSE FOR SALE and BRETT & DAVE. Prosser has also starred in PFC's short THE LIFE OF DEATH and music video HUNG LIKE THE LORD. Prosser currently lives in Portland and is designing a video game while developing ADVERSE EFFECTS, a feature he'll direct in the future. He is also set to direct the THE PRODIGAL SUM, which he wrote and is currently in pre-production.
As Zach, the "Innocent One" of the group, actor Brian Prosser, real-life brother to Mike Prosser, brings a soft, lost quality to this hesitant robber drawn into crime in order to watch over Josh. Prosser is a waiter supplementing his income with the occasional non-paying acting gig. He hopes this film will get him closer to his goal of becoming a teen idol. So far, unfortunately, "teen" magazines have not called for Prosser's services.
As Al, the mysterious "Local Yoakel," actor Jay Randall Horenstein endows the role with a playful charm, much to the amusement of our four stranded crooks. Horenstein has the honor of being the only actor in THE DIVIDING HOUR to appear in an Academy Award-winning film (Best Student Film AMERICAN TABOO). Horenstein lives and works in Portland, Oregon, where he continually stays active in theatre and film projects.
As Dawn Gates, the cordial "Farmer's Daughter," and host to the waylay criminals, actress Jillian Hodges brings a quiet strength to this woman who is not what she seems to be. Hodges, after receiving a BFA in Theater Arts from Southern Oregon State College, this ballroom dance instructor continued her education to receive a degree in hypnotherapy as well. As Lewis Gates, the silent yet imposing "Catonic," first-time actor Max Yoakum has an intense screen presence which brings out the other characters' true feelings in regards to one another. Husband to Pat Yoakum, the film's prop mistress, he is a father and handyman; and although you wouldn't know it from his performance, Yoakum is quite possibly one of the friendliest men alive.
As Monster, the "Evil" of the film, actor Gimp lends his talents to these young filmmakers out of the kindness of his two hearts. Gimp studied under Julliard under the watchful eye of John "I Am Not an Animal" Merrick. Gimp's amazing transformation involved growing a third eye and gaining 57 pounds for the role. Gimp dedicates his performance to his spiritual twin Tom Cruise.
