"Sometimes you make decisions and you've gotta live with them... But sometimes those decisions have consequences. Consequences that make living difficult." Such is the case for a band of four friends who decide to rob a bank and make a break for the border. But this time it's not the police who intervene. Mixed with a unique storyline, intriguing characters, intense performances and a multitude of special effects, the audience is thrust into the world of Peter (Brad Goodman), Dean (Greg James), Josh (Mike Prosser) and Zack (Brian Prosser) as they resist the consequences of their actions and face "The Dividing Hour." |

Peter, Dean, Josh and Zack are on the run from the law. Their successful bank heist couldn't have gone smoother. The run for the border proves to be a bit more difficult when car problems necessitate a ride with a country bumpkin (Jay Randall Horenstein) to an old house in the middle of nowhere. The inhabitants of the house, Dawn Gates (Jillian Hodges), a friendly and unassuming young woman and her mysterious and catotonic father, Lewis Gates (Max Yoakum), welcome the four into their desolate country home. The house is deemed an ideal hide-out by the gang of criminals until they can get their car back in working order. ne problem... the Gates' phone is inoperable. Josh's reoccurring nightmares become reality as he make a gruesome discovery...a discovery which sets "The Dividing Hour" into motion... the hour when souls are split between the powers of Darkness and Light and each character faces the consequence of their actions. |

THE DIVIDING HOUR was a labor of love for the producers for four years and is Playground Films' first feature project. This feature was produced on the ultra-low budget of $7,000 (the magic Robert Rodriguez figure), but boasts the special effects talents of award-winning animator, Webster Colcord (BLADDER TROUBLE, ABDUCTED and MAD DOCTORS OF BORNEO featured in Mike and Spike's sick and Twisted Animation Festival and well as Tim Burton's JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH), Brian Sipe of Gamut Studios (Make-up whiz who brought creatures for SEAQUEST DSV, PET SEMATARY 2, and DEEP RISING to life) and Jeff Yarnall of Dolphinative, the digital company, responsible for morphs, stop-motion animation, bluescreen composites, paintbox effects, titles/credit sequences, and the main editing of THE DIVIDING HOUR. |
